the answer is it can be a negatively charged or a neutral particle. answer negative particle seems to be reasonable since opposite charges attract each other.

the question here is how neutral particle?

well in case of neutral particle it gets polarized and an opposite charge gets appearing on the surface close to the charged surface and euqal amount of same charge on the opposite face ( see the figure in case of confusion)

also earthen because earth contains clay particles which are negatively charged

hence the correct options can be: A C D
