5g of an element x completely reacts with 9g of oxygen and produces 11.5g of oxide of element x. If the data is according to the law of conservation of mass, then calculate the amount of oxygen left when 10g of element x is burnt in 50g oxygen?

The data is not according to the law of conservation of mass . Hence then too your answer is 40g of oxygen
