$\frac{5x + 1}{12 - 2} = \frac{3x - 1}{9} \\ \\ by \: crossmultiplication \\ \\ 45x + 9 = 30x - 10 \\ \\ 45x - 30x = - 10 - 9 \\ \\ 15x = - 19 \\ \\ x = - \frac{19}{15 } \\ \\$
