Given:

  •   \sf\dfrac{5x + 1}{5x + 1} + 2x =  - 2

To find:

  • Value of x

Solution:

 { \implies \sf\dfrac{5x + 1}{5x + 1} + 2x =  - 2}

 { \implies \sf\dfrac{  \cancel{5x + 1}}{ \cancel{5x + 1}} + 2x =  - 2}

 { \implies \sf \: 2x =  - 2}

 { \implies \sf \: x =   \dfrac{- 2}{2}}

 { \implies \sf \: x =   \dfrac{ \cancel{- 2}}{ \cancel{2}}}

 \underline{  \boxed{ { \implies \pink{ \sf \: x =    - 1}}}}

Hence value of x is -1.
