Solution :

Quadratic equation :

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀• 5x² - 16x - 5 = 0

Here,

  • a = 5
  • b = -16
  • c = - 5

By using Quadratic formula :

 \large \sf \:  \frac{ - b \pm \sqrt{ {b}^{2}  - 4ac} }{2a}  \\

We know that D = b² - 4ac

  • Finding value of D

D = (-16)² - 4 × 5 × (-5)

D = 256 + 100

D = 356

Putting value of D in Quadratic formula

 :  \implies  \: \frac{ - ( - 16) \pm \sqrt{356} }{2 \times 5}  \\  \\ :  \implies  \:  \frac{16 \pm \sqrt{356} }{10}  \\  \\ :  \implies  \:  \frac{16 \pm2 \sqrt{89} }{10}  \\  \\ :  \implies  \:  \frac{2(8 \pm \sqrt{89}) }{10}  \\  \\ :  \implies  \:  \frac{8 \pm \sqrt{89} }{5}
