Solution :-
5x/3 - 4 = 2x/5
Taking LCM of the denominators and then solving it.
⇒ (5x - 12)/3 = 2x/5
Now cross multiplying.
⇒ 25x - 60 = 6x
⇒ 25x - 6x = 60
⇒ 19x = 60
⇒ x = 60/19
⇒ Now, putting the value of x = 60/19 in 2x - 8
⇒ 2x - 8
⇒ (2*60)/19 - 8
⇒ 120/19 - 8
⇒ (120 - 152)/19
= - 32/19
So, the numerical value of 2x - 8 is - 32/19
