(6-4√2)/(6+4√2) × (6-4√2)/(6-4√2)

= (6-4√2)²/(6²-(4√2)²)

= {6²+(4√2)² - 2(6)(4√2)}/(36-32)

ANSWER :-

Rationalise the denominator:

(6 - 4√2)/(6 + 4√2)

Multiply by 6 - 4√2 both numerator and denominator.

\frac {6 - 4 \sqrt2}{6 + 4 \sqrt2}

= \frac  {( 6 - 4 \sqrt2 ) \ ( 6 - 4 \sqrt2)}{( 6 + 4 \sqrt 2 ) \ (6 - 4 \sqrt2 )}

= \frac  {( 6 - 4 \sqrt2)²}{36 - 32}

= \frac {36 - 48 \sqrt2 + 32}{4}

= \frac {68 - 48 \sqrt2}{4}

= \frac {4 ( 17 - 12\sqrt2 ) }{4}

= 17 - 12\sqrt2
