☞ 6 + 5(a - 1) = 3
∴ 6 + 5a - 5 = 3
∴ 5a + 1 = 3
∴ 5a = 3 - 1
∴ 5a = 2
∴ a = (2/5)
☞ Verification :
6 + 5(a - 1)
= 6 + 5 ( 2/5 - 1)
= 6 + 5 (-3/5)
= 6 + (-3)
= 6 - 3
= 3 = RHS
