(( \frac{6}{8}  +  \frac{8}{11} ) - 0.35) \div  \frac{3}{5}  \\  \\ (( \frac{66 + 64}{88} ) - 0.35) \div  \frac{3}{5}  \\  \\  (\frac{130}{88}  - 0.35)  \times  \frac{5}{3}  \\  \\  (\frac{130 - 30.8}{88} ) \times  \frac{5}{3}  \\  \\  \frac{99.2}{88}  \times  \frac{5}{3}  \\  \\  \frac{496}{264}  \\  \\ 1.87

The answer is 2\frac{1}{33} .

Given: { (\frac{6}{8} + \frac{9}{11} ) - 0.35} ÷ \frac{3}{5}

To Find: the solution of the given fraction

Solution:

Solving the first brackets first,

L.C.M of 8 and 11 = 88

∴ { (\frac{6 \times 11 + 9 \times 8}{88}) - 0.35} ÷ \frac{3}{5}

= { (\frac{66 + 72}{88} ) - 0.35} ÷ \frac{3}{5}

= { \frac{138}{88} - 0.35} ÷ \frac{3}{5}

Solving the second bracket,

= {\frac{138}{88} - \frac{35}{100}} ÷ \frac{3}{5}

L.C.M of 88 and 100 = 2200

= {\frac{138 \times 25 - 35 \times 22}{2200}}  ÷ \frac{3}{5}

= { \frac{3450 - 770 }{2200} }  ÷ \frac{3}{5}

= \frac{2680}{2200} × \frac{5}{3}

= \frac{67}{33}

= 2\frac{1}{33}

Answer) 2\frac{1}{33}

Fractions

  • Fractions refer to the numbers which define a part of something. It is written in the numerator and denominator form, where the denominator describes the whole part, and the numerator describes the fraction of it.
  • In the given exercise, we needed to find the solution to the mathematical expression given as fractions. Fractions are mostly solved by calculating the LCM of the denominators.
  • The answer came in the form of an improper fraction. Improper fraction refers to the fraction where the denominator is smaller than the numerator.
  • Thus, I have changed it into the mixed fraction, where we have a whole number and a fraction.
