Here,

V center of mass =0

M1V1 = M2V2

★ Net forward momentum = net backward momentum

● Mass is added because bullet enters in barrel.

=>mv = (M+m)V

=>20×400 = (200+20)× V

=> V = 800/220

=> V = 40/11m/s
