A dog runs 10om in 20 ascends the
then comes back half the distance in 10
seconds and stops. what is the dog's
average velocity ?​

Answer:

displacement by the dog in first 20 seconds=100m

reduction in the displacement of the dog in last 10 seconds=half of the distance=100/2=50m

so,total displacement=50m

total time taken=20 seconds+10 seconds=30 seconds.

avg velocity=total displacement

                      total time

                  =50m/30sec=5/3m/s=1.66m/s.....answer.
