Answer:

6. Let the son's age be = X

Fathers age = 3* X = 3x

Sum of their ages = 52 years

3x + x = 52

4x = 52

x = 13

Sons age = 13

Fathers age = 13 * 3 = 39 years

7. As we know

Base angles of an isosceles traingle are equal

Let the base angle each = X degrees

X + X + 50 = 180 ( given )

2x + 50 = 180

2x = 180 - 50

2x = 130

x = 130/2 = 65

Each base angle = 65 degrees

SOLUTION...

*STEP-BY-STEP-EXPLANATIONS:

According to the Question, We have:

Let the Sons age be = x

Father's age be=  3x = 3x

The Sum of their ages is = 52 years

Lets add and Multiply them.

3(x)+x=52

4x=52

Now, Divide them,

x= 52/4

x=13

Now, multiply

The sons age is = 13

and Father's ages is = 13(3) = 39 years

 Hence, Fathers age is = 39 years
