Time taken to pass the man = 20 seconds

Speed of the train = 54 km/h = 15 m/s

Distance covered while passing platform = Length of the Train + Length of the Platform

Distance covered while passing platform = 36 × 15 = 540 m

Length of the train = 20 × 15 = 300 m

Hence, length of the platform = 540 - 300 = 240 m

Length of the platform = 240 m

Hence, the option b is correct.
