Given:  An arithmetic sequence has a common difference of 9 and the 41st term is 25.

To find: The first term for this sequence

Solution:

In an arithmetic sequence, the Tnth term = a+(n-1)d

d=9

41st term= 25

a+(n-1)d = 25

a+ (41-1)9= 25

a+40 into 9= 25

a=335
