Answer:

pls follow me

Explanation:

V=u+at

V=1m/s

u=5m/s

t=20s

1=5+20a

-4=a×20

a= -0.2

negative sign shows retardiation

Given:-

  • Initial velocity (u) = 5m/s

  • Final velocity (v) = 1m/s

  • Time taken (t) =20s

To Find:-

  • Av. acceleration of the object (a)

Solution:-

As we know that the rate of change of velocity at per unit time is called acceleration.

→ a = v-u/t

Substitute the value we get

→ a = 1-5/20

→ a = -4/20

→ a = -1/5

→ a = -0.2m/s²

here negative sign show deceleration

∴ The acceleration of the object is 0.2m/s².
