6. Mahatma Gandhi understood that moment had to be made broad-based and for that Muslims had to be brought into the movement . one way of doing this he felt was to take up the khilafat issue . To defend the Thilagar Committee was formed in Bombay in March 1919. Muslim leader brothers Mohammad Ali and Shakukat Ali , discussed a united mass action on the issue. Gandhiji saw this as an opportunity to bring Muslims under the umbrella of a unified national movements

7. The Main idea of non cooperation movement was

a) surrender of government titles .

b) boycott of civil services, Army old is, court under legislative councils and schools .

c) boycott of foreign made goods .

d) government used for preparation, full civil disobedience campaign to be launched .
