6ax + 6by = 3a + 2b ------------------(i) X a
6bx - 6ay = 3b - 2a -----------------(ii) X b
6a²x + 6aby = 3a² + 2ab
6b²x - 6aby = 3b² - 2ab
6x(a² + b²) = 3(a² + b²)
6x = 3
x = 1/2
putting x in --------(i)
3a + 6by = 3a +2b
6y(b) = 2(b)
6y = 2
y = 1/3
∴ x = 1/2 & y = 1/3
