6. By selling a cellphone for 2,400 a shopkeeper makes a profit of 25%. What would be his profit percentage,
if he sells it for 2,040?

Selling price of the cellphone : ₹2400

Profit he made by selling cellphone : 25%

CP = SP × [100 / 100 + profit%]

CP = 2400 × [100 / 100 + 25%]

CP = 2400 × 100 / 125

CP = ₹1920

The cost of the cellphone is ₹1920.

If the cellphone is sold at a price of ₹2040.

Profit = SP - CP

Profit = 2040 - 1920

Profit = ₹120

Profit % = Profit / CP × 100

Profit % = 120 / 1920 × 100

Profit % = 6.25%
