well, the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims. or in simple words : Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups who are inspired by, or associated with, designated foreign terrorist organizations or nations

well ! , here the aim of a terrorist may belong to different aspects .. as Terrorists often justify their acts on the basis of perceived social, economic and political unfairness. Or they take inspiration from religious beliefs or spiritual principles.

and even Some are ethnically based separatism movements, like the Irish Republican Army or Palestine Liberation Organization. The former cartel of Medellin are considered narco-terrorists because they combine drug trafficking with terrorism tactics to intimidate government and population.
