-9/8 = -1.1        and      3/4= 0.8

so we'll place -1.1 just in a bit behind of -1   (after -1 comes -1.1 than -1.2 and so on)

and 0.8 goes just before 1   ( after 0.8 comes 0.9 and than 1 )
