(i) cloudy nights are warmer than the clear nights.

(i) The cloudy skies are like a blanket and the warmer air on the ground with us tries to leave and the clouds stop it from leaving . Warmer air will always try to move up and it cannot do so because of the clouds. That's why you might notice that cloudy nights are warmer than clear nights.

(ii) The rays of sun fall on the Moon, later it reflects its rays towards Earth. Sun's rays directly fall on Earth, so these are very hot whereas the Moon reflects the Sun's rays which they fall on the Moon, so these are cool.
