If there are 2 equal roots, then

D = b^2-4ac= 0

(-6)^2 - 4(2)(k+3) =0

36 - 8(k+3) =0

36 - 8k - 24 =0

Transposing 8k to the other side,

12 = 8k
8k =12

K = 12/8

Therefore , k=3/2

Therefore ,
Your answer is
(b) 3/2
