Answer:

Given polynomial 2x3+ax2+3x−5  and x3+x2−4x+a  divided by x-2 the remainder is same

Then x+2= or x=2 replace x by 2 weget

p(x)=2x3+ax2+3x−5

p(2)=2(2)3+a(2)2+3(2)−5

⇒p(2)=2×8+a×4+3×2−5

⇒P(2)=16+4a+6−5

⇒p(2)=4a+17

q(x)=x3+x2−4x+a

⇒q(2)=(2)3+(2)2−4(2)+a

⇒q(2)=8+4−8+a

⇒A(2)=4+a

∴4a+17=4+a

Add -a and -17 both side we get

4a+17−a−17=4+a−a−17

⇒3a=−13

Divided both side by 3 we get
