if angle 1 is decreased by x then the angle 2 should be increased by the same x degrees.

now u get an equation as angle1=angle2=supplementry angles

or angle 1= angle2

like angle 1 - x = angle 2 + x

now -x and + x gets cancelled so you get angle1 = angle2

see i proved it also

you can also try it by taking values in the angles and prove it

the best way to keep this type of solutions in your mind is if one side u do addition then the other side you subtract on the other that is the concept
