6. Mrs Razdan wants to use tiles of length 20 cm
and breadth 10 cm to cover the floor of her
balcony shown in the figure. What is the area
of the balcony? How many tiles does she
need to buy (1 sq m = 10,000 sq cm)?​

Area of balcony = AR (1) AR (2) AR (3)

(2 \times 4 )  + (2 + 2) + (4 \times 2 \\  \\

8 + 4 + 8 = 20 c \: {m}

Area of one tiles =

20 \times 10  {cm}^{2}

No of tiles are

20 \times 10 {}^{4} cm

20 \times 10cm {}^{2}

 = 10 {}^{3}
