solutions :-

we have,

6 pipe are required to fill a tank in 1 hour 20 minutes.

Find the time to fill tank by one pipe :-

6 pipe = 80 minutes    [ 1 hour = 60 minutes ]

1 pipe = 80 × 6 = 480 minutes

Now,

Find the time to fill tank by 5 pipes :-

1 pipe = 480 minutes

5 pipes = 480/5 = 96 minutes

Hence,

96 minutes or 1 hour 36 minutes Will take if only 5 pipes of the same type are used.

hello
here \: is \: your \: answer

given,

Time taken by 6 pipes to fill 1 tank

=> 1 hour 20 min

=> 80 min.

for single pipe---

Time taken by 1 pipe to fill 1 tank
=> 80*6min.
=>480 min.

Time taken by 5 pipes be 'x' to fill 1 tank

then

=> 5x = 480

=> x = 480/5

=> x = 96 minutes.

therefore,

=> 5 pipes will take 96 or 1 hour 36 minutes to fill the same tank.
