As per the data given in the question,

We have to determine that,

In how many time 18 pipes can fill the same tank which is filled by 6 pipes  in 3 Hours.

As we know that,

In Time and Work,

The work done by x number of workers in t days will be

=(x\times t ) =xt \:unit

So, work done by by 6 pipes  in 3 Hours will be =(6\times 3) = 18\:Units

As, 18 units of work is needed to be done by 18 pipes.

So, number of time required will be =\frac{18}{18} = 1\:Hr

Hence. In 1 Hr. 18 pipes can fill the same tank which is filled by 6 pipes  in 3 Hours.

Answer:

6 pipes can fill a tank in 3 hours. The 18 pipes take 1 hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find -

In how many time 18 pipes can fill the same tank which is filled by 6 pipes  in 3 Hours.

Solution-

To find the work done by 6 pipes multiply the number of pipes by the number of hours.

Work done by by 6 pipes in 3 Hours  = 6 ×3

work done by by 6 pipes  in 3 Hours = 18 units

If 18 units of work should be done by 18 pipes.

∴ Time required = \frac{18}{18} = 1 hr

6 pipes can fill a tank in 3 hours. The 18 pipes take 1 hour.
