1) The differences between Eastern and Western Coastal Plains are: 1. The Eastern Coastal plain lies along the east coast of India and is washed by the Bay of Bengal whereas the Western Coastal Plain lies along the west coast of India and is washed by The Arabian Sea.

3) Extensive plains are rare in Brazil because a large part of Brazil is occupied by highlands, plateaus and small mountains. The plains in Brazil are confined to two areas namely the Amazon basin in the north and Paraguay-Parana source region in the south west.
