Dimnesions of the roos is 10m x 4.5m = 1000cm

X 450 cm

Area of the room = 1000 x 450 cm² = 450000

Cm2

Length of each side of the square tile = 20 cm

Area of tile = 20 x 20 cm² = 400 cm

No. of tiles to be laid = 450000/400 = 1125

Cost of one tile = Rs. 131.40

Total cost = 1125 x 131.40 = Rs. 147825

Answer:

Given:-

  • Length of the room = 96m
  • Breadth of the room = 50 m

The HCF of the 96 and 50 will be size of square tiles.

HCF 96 and 50 = 2m

Area of the room = length × breadth = 96×50=4800 m*2

Area of tiles = 2×2 =4m*2

So, no. of tiles required = 4800÷4 = 1200 tiles.

Therefore, maximum length of the square tile=2m
