6. The capacity of a closed cylindrical vessel of height 1 m is 15.4 litres. How many
square metres of metal sheet would be needed to make it?​

height of the cylinder =1m

capacity of the cylinder=volume of the cylinder=15.4 litres

=15400 cubic cm

=0.0154 m sq.

 so,r2h=0.0154 m sq.

22/7*r2*1=0.0154

 r2=0.0154*7/22

 r2=0.0049

 r=0.07

so the total surface area =2rh+2r2

=2r(r+h)

 =2*22/7*0.07(0.07+1)

 =0.44*1.07

 =0.4708 m sq.
