Question

The perimeter of a rectangular field is 60 m. If the length of the rectangular field is 20 m, find its breadth.

Solution

Given :-

  • The perimeter of a rectangular field is 60 m.
  • The length of rectangle field is 20 m

To Find :-

  • The breadth of rectangle.

Step-by-Step-Explaination :-

As we know that :-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

Putting the respective value,

2 ( 20 + b ) = 60

20 + b = 60/2

20 + b = 30

b = 30 - 20

b = 10

Hence,

The breadth of rectangular field is 10 m .

Correct Question:-

Perimeter of a rectangular field is 60m. If the length of field is 20 m, find the breadth of field.

GIVEN:

  • Perimeter of rectangular field=60m
  • Length of field=20m

TO FIND:

  • Breadth of rectangular field

SOLUTION:

Perimeter of rectangular field=2(L+b)

[•°• l is length and B is breadth of rectangular field]

60=2(20+b)

60/2=20+B

30=20+B

30-20=B

10m=B

So breadth of rectangular field =10m.
