Answer:

Area of parallelogram = 2 × Area of ∆ABC

= 2 × 1/2 × base × height sq. units

= 2 × 1/2 × AB × CE sq. units

= b × h sq. units

= base × height sq. units

Solution

Given :-

  • The of base & height of parallelogram are 2:1 and area of parallelogram is 1250 cm².

To Find :-

  • The base & height of a parallelogram.

Step-by-Step-Explaination :-

Let the base of parallelogram be 2x

and the height of parallelogram be x

As we know that :-

Area of parallelogram = b × h

So,

According to the question,

Area of parallelogram = 2x × x = 1250

Area of parallelogram = 2x² = 1250

Area of parallelogram = x² = 1250/3

Area of parallelogram x² = 625

Area of parallelogram = x = √625

Area of parallelogram = x = 25

So,

The value of x = 25

Now,

Base of parallelogram = 2x = 2 × 25 = 50

Base of parallelogram = x = x × 25 = 25
