they have to do so because there are different time zones in different regions so the time might differ from the time we experience in our region

Answer:

a)  The people have to adjust their watches when they travel across the different time zones because the time varies in the different region all over the world because of the ‘earth's rotation’. Earth takes ‘24 hours to complete’ its 1 rotation around its own axis.

b)   The International Date Line is not a straight line

Reason: The imaginary line which is used to demonstrate one day to another is known as International Date Line.
