Reasons behind the construction of multi storey buildings in cities,are as follows -

• The space availability in the cities is very low and that's why the multi storey buildings help in the process of gaining maximum space volume in the minimum area of the land.

• The population is very high in the cities and that's why the high space volume containing multi storey buildings help in the retaining process of the high amount of possible in the available low amount of land area.

• The construction process is very expensive in the cities and the rules permission gaining procedures for the construction works are also very complex in the urban areas. That's why the construction of a single multi storey building is much more efficient than the construction of multiple single storey buildings,in the cities.
