SOLUTION :
❒ Given :-
- Number of people in the shop = 40
- Persons who bought something = 30% of 40
❒ To Find :-
- People who did not buy anything = ?
❒ Calculation :-
We have,
- Total number of people = 40
- Persons who bought something = 30%
∴ Number of persons who bought something = 30% of 40
➞ Number of persons who bought something = × 40
➞ Number of persons who bought something = 12
Now,
- Number of total persons = 40
- Number of persons who bought something = 12
∴ Number of persons who did not buy anything = Number of total persons — Number of persons who bought something
➜ Number of persons who did not buy anything = 40 — 12
➜ Number of persons who did not buy anything = 28 ✪
- ★ Hence, 28 persons did not buy anything.
____________________________________________
Again,
- Total number of people = 40
- Persons who did not buy anything = 28
∴ Percentage of persons who did not buy anything = × 100
➜ Percentage of persons who did not buy anything = × 100
➜ Percentage of persons who did not buy anything = 70% ✪
- ★ 70% of the total people did not buy anything.
