Anonymous: 60 men can finish a work in 250 days.
1 man can finish the work in = 15000 days.
60 men worked for 200 days.
the amount of work done is 200*60=12000 days
the pending work = 15000-12000=3000 days
work is stopped for 10 days.
remaining number of days = 250-200-10=40 days.
work done by 60 men in 40 days = 60*40=2400 days
Pending work = 3000-2400= 600 days.
Let x be the additional number of workers required.
Then 40x=600=> x=15.
debanti: can this sum , be done by chain rule , if you can ples help??
Anonymous: no ,i dont have sny idea of this sum with chain rule
debanti: ok friend , thanks ...

The men required is 15 men.

Given:

60 men could complete a work in 250 days

Solution:

60 men could complete a work in 250 days

1 man can complete the work in,

=60 \times 250

=15000 \ days

60 men worked together for 200 days,

=60 \times 200=12000

The remaining work has to be done is,

=15000-12000

=3000

The remaining days to work is,

=250-200-10

=40 \ \mathrm{days}

Total men need to do the remaining is,

40 x=3000

x=\frac{3000}{40}

x=75 \ men

The no. of extra men need to do the work in time is,

=75-60

=15 \ \mathrm{men}
