According to question,
60% of a + 24 = 3a/4
=> 60a/100 + 24 = 3a/4
=> 3a/5 + 24 = 3a/4
=> 3a / 4 - 3a/5 = 24
=> ( 15a - 12a) / 20 = 24
=> 3a / 20 = 24
=> a = 24 × 20 / 3
=> a = 8 × 20
=> a = 160
Required number = 160
