The mathematical problem is solved below :

It is given that,

 \frac{3}{5} of \: 60\% \: of \: a \: number \:  =  \: 36

Let,

The number be x

Here 'of' word can be replaced by x (multiply) sign. It is because the word 'of' denotes multiplication in mathematics.

So according to question, it will be,

 \frac{3}{5}  \times 60\% \times x = 36

Now,

60\% =  \frac{60}{100}

So,

 \frac{3}{5}  \times  \frac{60}{100}  \times x = 36

 \frac{3}{5}  \times  \frac{3}{5}  \times x = 36

 \frac{9x}{25}  = 36

Cross multiplying the terms, we get,

9x = 25 \times 36

9x = 900

x =  \frac{900}{9}

x = 100

So, the value of x is 100

So, the correct option or the right choice is (2)
