63 బహుమతుల మొత్తం విలువ రు. 3000. ఈ బహుమతులలో రూ. 100 మరియు రూ. 25 విలువ గలవి ఉన్నచో అవి ఒక్కొక్కరకం ఎన్నెన్ని ఉన్నాయో తెలపండి .

Solution:

let x be the number of prizes of Rs.100

let y be the number of prizes of Rs.25

The total number of Prizes are 63

$=> x + y = 63$ ------- (equation 1)

$100x + 25y = 3000$ --------- (equation 2)

Dividing equation 2 by 25, we get

$=> \dfrac{100x}{25} + \dfrac{25y}{25} = \dfrac{3000}{25}$

$=> 4x + y = 120$ --------- (equation 3)

Now, subtract equation-1 from equation-3

$=> (4x + y = 120) - (x + y = 63)$

$=> 4x + y - x - y = 120 - 63$

$=> 3x = 120-63$

$=> x = \dfrac{57}{3}$

$=> x = 19$

Substitute the value of x in equation-1

$=> x + y = 63$

$=> 19 + y = 63$

$=> y = 63 - 19$

$=> y =44$

Hence, the required answer is 19, and 44
