65 gram of glucose is dissolved in 435 g of water calculate the consentration
Answers
Look first you should know the formula to find concentration....
Concentration = Molarity
And molarity = no. of moles/volume(in litres).....
No. of moles of glucose= given weight/ molecular weight of glucose
= 65/180
= 0.36
Now molarity or concentration = 0.36/435 × 10^-3
See dont get confused that why in volume of litre i had taken mass of water given in the question....i had done so because 1ml of water= 1g of water...so
435 g of water = 435 ml of water
But we require volume in litre so we just multipied our volume by 10^-3
Now after calculation(i hope you can do that) you will get concentration as 8.27 mol/litre....
I hope it helps and feel free to ask any query
