We Require to find :

23% of that number

Express that Statement algebraically

" 65 of a number is more than its 36 by 58 "

⇒ 65% * x - 36% * x = 58

Change Percentage into Fraction

⇒ (65/100)* x - (36/100) * x = 58

⇒ ( 65 - 36/100) * x = 58

⇒ 29x/100 = 58

⇒ x = 200

Find 23% of x

⇒ 23% * 200

⇒ ( 23/100) * 200

⇒ 46
