By transportation method we can solve it

6y - 9 = 2y + 15

Transportation of 2y to RHS and -9 to LHS. We will change their symbols also

So,

6y - 9 = 2y + 15

=> 6y - 2y = 15 + 9

=> 4y = 24

=> y = 24/4

=> y = 6

Hope it helps dear friend ☺️

Answer:

=> The value of y is 6.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:-

6y-9=2y+15

To find:- The value of y,

For solving this, we have to use the transposition method:

As we have,

=> 6y-9=2y+15

Add both sides by 9, we get

=> 6y-9+9=2y+15+9

Simplifying it further, we get

=> 6y=2y+15+9

Add the numbers, we get

=> 6y=2y+24

Subtract both sides by 2y, we get

=> 6y-2y=2y+24-2y

=> 4y = 24

Divide both sides by 4, we get

=> y = 6

Hence, the required solution is 6.
