Given:

  • A series is given

             7, 5 = 101

             3, 8 = 28

             6, 2 = 24

To Find:

  • Missing number of series

              4, 5 = ?

Solution:

Following pattern is used in the series

     Let's take

             ⇒     7, 5 = 101

  • First find the cube of smaller number of L.H.S

              ⇒  5³   = 125

  • Now, add and subtract both L.H.S number and after doing this multiply them

              ⇒ (7 + 5) × (7 - 5) = 12 × 2 = 24

  • Subtract step-2 result from step-1 result.

              ⇒   125 - 24 = 101

Next series number

              ⇒  3, 8 = 28

               ⇒  3³  - (8+3) × (8-3) = 27 - 11 × 5 = 27 - 55 = (-28) = 28

By using above pattern we can find all given series pattern

Next series number

              ⇒  4, 5 = ?

              ⇒  4³ - (4 + 5) × (5-4) = 64 - 9 × 1 = 64 - 9 = 55

Thus, the missing number is 55
