➤ Answer :-

{\sf \longrightarrow (x) \tt +  \dfrac{( - 7)}{8} = \dfrac{4}{9}}

To find the value of 'x' in the given sum, we should subtract the answer and the second value..........

{\sf \longrightarrow (x) = \tt \dfrac{4}{9} - \dfrac{( - 7)}{8}}

Convert them into like fractions by taking the LCM of the denominators i.e, 9 and 8.

LCM of 9 and 8 is 72.

{\tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{4 \times 8}{9 \times 8} - \dfrac{( - 7) \times 9}{8 \times 9}}

{\tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{32}{72} - \dfrac{( - 63)}{72} =  \dfrac{32 - ( - 63)}{72}}

{\tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{32 + 63}{72} = \dfrac{95}{72} = \boxed{\tt 1 \dfrac{23}{72}}}

\Huge\thereforeThe other number is {\tt 1 \dfrac{23}{72}}
