Answer:

Given,

 \frac{7}{9} -  \frac{2}{5}

To Find :-

Simplify it.

Solution :-

 \frac{7}{9}  -  \frac{2}{5}

L.C.M of 9 , 5 = = 45.

Equating the denominaters :-

 \frac{7}{9}  =  \frac{7}{9}  \times  \frac{5}{5}

 =  \frac{35}{45}

\sf\therefore \dfrac{7}{9} = \dfrac{35}{45}

 \frac{2}{5}  =  \frac{2}{5}  \times  \frac{9}{9}

 =  \frac{18}{45}

\sf\therefore \dfrac{2}{5} = \dfrac{18}{45}

Now,

 \frac{7}{9}  -  \frac{2}{5}  =  \frac{35}{45}  -  \frac{18}{45}

 =  \frac{35 - 18}{45}

 =  \frac{17}{45}

\sf\therefore \dfrac{7}{9}- \dfrac{2}{5} = \dfrac{17}{45}
