7.95 gram of cupric oxide was reduced by heating in a current of hydrogen and weight of copper that remained is 6.35 grams in another experiment 19.05 gramof copper was dissolved in the nitric acid and the resulting copper nitrate is converted into cupric acid by ignition the weight of cupric acid formed is 23.85 gram .show this is in respect of law of constant proportion

Answer:

Explanation:

case1:  weight of copper oxide : 7.95 g

weight of copper: 6.35g

100 g of copper oxide= 7.95* 100/6.35= 125.9%

case 2:

23.85g of copper oxide contains 19.05g of copper

so 100 g will contain:

19.05*100/23.85= 125.9%

hence they obtain the same %

so it is the law of constant propotion
