Answer:

The length of the bridge is 110m

Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN

LET LENGTH OF BRIDGE BE (x)M

LENGHT OF TRAIN = 150M

VELOCITY OF TRAIN = 72KM/HR = (72 *1000/3600) = 20 M/S

AS WE KNOW

FORMULA OF VELOCITY

VELOCITY = LENGTH / TIME TAKEN

V = L/T

20M/S = (150 + X)M/13S

150 + X = 20 * 13

X = 260 - 150

X= 110 M

Speed = 72 km/hr

= 72 × 1000

3600

= 20 m/s

Time = 13 sec

Distance covered by train

= speed × time

= 20 × 13

= 260 m

so, length of the bridge = 260 - 150

= 110 m.

Thanks.
