Answer:

Question :-

If the area of the triangle is 36 cm² and the height is 3 cm, the base of the triangle will be:

Given Information :-

Area of the triangle = 36 cm²

Height of the triangle = 3 cm

Base of the triangle = ?

Formula :-

 \bf \small \: Area \: of \: triangle \: = \: \frac{1}{2} \times base \: \times height

Required Solution :-

 \bf \small \: Area \: of \: triangle = \frac{1}{2} \times b \times h

 \bf \small \: 36 = \ \frac{1}{2} \: \times b \: \times 3

  \bf \small \: \frac{36 \times 2}{3} = b

\bf \small \: \frac{3 \cancel6 \times 2}{ \cancel3} = b

\bf \small \: 12 \times 2 = b

 \bf \small\therefore \: b = 12

\bf \small\therefore \: base \: is \: 12 \: cm

In context to questions asked,

We have to determine the value base of the triangle.

As per questions,

We have,

Area of triangle = 36 cm²

Height of triangle = 3 cm

As we know that,

area \: = \frac{1}{2} \times base \: \times height

So, we will put the value given in above expression,

Thus we will get the value of base of triangle as,

36 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 3 \times base \\ base =  \frac{36 \times 2}{3}  = 24 \: cm

Hence, value of the base of the triangle will be 24 cm.
