Answer:

(i) 2*-4 = (2+2)(-4+1)-4

= (4)(-3)-4

= -16

(ii) 7*10 = (7+2)(10+1)-4

= (9)(11)-4

= 95

(iii) -5*-8 = (-5+2)(-8+1)-4

= (-3)(-7)-4

= 17

(iv) 3*24 = (3+2)(24+1)-4

= (5)(25)-4

= 121

(v) -9*0 = (-9+2)(0+1)-4

= (-7)(1)-4

= -11

Answer:

i)-16

ii) 95

Step-by-step explanation:

i) 2* -4

Simplify the following:

= (2 + 2) (1 - 4) - 4

= (2 + 2) -3 - 4

= 4 (-3) - 4

= -12 - 4

= -(12 + 4)

= -16

Answer:

-16

ii)7 * 10

Simplify the following:

=(7 + 2) (10 + 1) - 4

=(7 + 2) 11 - 4

=9×11 - 4

=99 - 4

=95
