7. One fifth of the sum of two angles is 24° and half
their difference is 14'. Find the two angles.​

1/5 (x + y) = 24

x + y = 120

y = 120 - x  ---------- (1)

1/2 (x-y) = 14

x-y = 28

y = -(28-x)

y = x -28 ----------(2)

Adding 1 and 2,

120 - x = x - 28

120 + 28 = x + x

148 = 2x

x = 74

Since x = 74 , y = 46 using ( 1 ).
